Ginnie Springs Dive and New Itinerary

Busy busy day, just got back from coaching my team in a scrimmage (played pretty well) and then played some pickup afterwards.  So, let's get into it.  Woke up bright and early to get the dive shop by 7.  My dive instructor was Lloyd Bailey, the self-proclaimed "most prolific cave diver ever".  His basis for said title is that he apparently has instructed more divers to their cave diving certification than any other person.  No word yet as to whether Guinness Book of World Records recognizes his accomplishments...haha.

I was a little bit less comfortable than I thought I would be, but felt comfortable again by the end.  As you can tell from the pictures the water is incredibly shallow.  I used the GoPro underwater with the flat lens and a red filter.  I used my dad's Canon for out of the water pictures, and I don't have a card reader for the CF card that the Canon uses, so I can't post any of those pictures, but as for the underwater shots....heeeeeeeerrrrrreeeeee'ssssss Johnny!

 After a few pics, I started photographing this guy.

He apparently loved being photographed because he swam closer.

I was even able to get him to pose with me in this shot.

I'm running into errors when I try to upload the movie onto the blog, so I'll try to figure that out tomorrow.

After diving, I met my friend Brandon for lunch and picked up the Brazilian and Euro currency I ordered from the bank.

Oh, and the new itinerary.  Smith and I bought our tickets from Croatia back to Germany so we have definite dates there, and we've made some decisions on other things too.  So, the new itinerary is:

June 28th - fly to Brazil
June 29th - arrive in Brazil, training session with team
June 30th - July 5th - tournament in Brazil, game every day except the 3rd
July 6th - fly back to Miami
July 7th - free day in Miami, diving in Key Largo in the morning
July 8th - fly to Düsseldorf, Germany
July 9th - arrive in Düsseldorf, take train to meet Smith in Enschede, Netherlands
July 9th - 13th - hanging out in Enschede
July 13th - 15th - weekend trip to Brussels
July 16th & 17th - back in Enschede
July 17th - fly to Vienna
July 18th - July 22nd - Staying with friend's family in Vienna
July 23rd - 28th - drive to Croatia and make our way down the coast

July 29th - fly from Dubrovnik to Köln, Germany, spend night thereJuly 30th - take morning train to Düsseldorf airport, fly back stateside
